The Downhill harp

The inscription on the harp states that it was made in 1702 by Cormac O’Kelly, and I see no reason to doubt this. Its form, as a (fairly small) example of a ‘large high headed’ instrument, would place it in the late 17th or 18th century. Its lettering and carving are consistent with an early 18th century date.
