This harp was at one stage in the collection of the English musicologist Frances Galpin. It is now the only historical Gaelic harp kept outside of Britain and Ireland. Charles Bunworth was a gentleman harper who collected a number of old harps. Sadly, with the exception of this his personal instrument, they were all destroyed on his death
