Let Erin Remember and Anns Harp

Re-release from Ann Heymann: Let Erin Remember & Ann’s Harp. Ann and Charlie Heymann, as the group Clairseach, released these LPs in 1979 and 1981. Now the two recordings have been issued on one combined CD. This is very interesting traditional Irish songs and tunes, including some of the old Gaelic harp repertory, performed on various instruments. Ann Heymann plays Gaelic harp on these important groundbreaking recordings. more...

Rare antique book: I have a first edition of Edward Bunting’s Ancient Music of Ireland, 1840 for sale. The cover is water-stained and the spine is repaired, and there are some library stamps inside to the first few pages, but otherwise the book is in good condition inside. One tune has an interesting manuscript annotation. more...

Welsh Traditional Music, by Phyllis Kinney, is a new overview of traditional and folk music in Wales from late medieval times through to the early 20th century. This luxurious hardback includes a lot of notated examples of the music. more...

Other secondhand books available this month include Donal O’Sullivan’s Songs of the Irish, an interesting collection of words and notation for old Irish language songs, and Derek Bell and Liam Ó Conchubhair’s Traditional Songs of the North of Ireland, with notation and words for songs in Irish and in English.

How to order

There are two ways to order items from the emporium; I don't mind which you use.
1. select the appropriate postage and click "add to cart". You can add lots of different items if you wish. Then click to go to the checkout and pay online with your credit or debit card. Postage is automatically calculated.

2. Phone me up or send an email (contact details below) and ask me whether what you want is in stock, or can be obtained. This works almost as quickly as using the shopping cart; also it works just as well for secondhand items and even ones I have not yet managed to get in stock. I'll give you a total price to pay (including postage) and you can post me a cheque (UK pounds sterling, drawn on a UK bank, payable to "Early Gaelic Harp Info"), or send money via PayPal/credit card, or make a bank transfer. Click here for more payment details including bank info and a credit card payment facility.

If there is an item you are looking for but which is not listed here, let me know - I may well be able to find it for you.

Please ask to be put on the mailing list, to be sent details of new additions to the stock.

Returns: If you are dissatisfied in any way, please return the items for a full refund.
