February 2010

I have in stock this month an interesting new CD from Belgium. Featuring the duo of Bill Taylor (early harps) with Geert Van Geele (recorders), Greensleeves presents the distinctive sound of the growling gothic bray harp partnered with the dulcet tones of renaissance recorder - a combination that works suprisingly well in this selection of pleasant 16th century Continental music. The CD also offers an exciting selection of profiadau from the Welsh 'Robert ap Huw' manuscript and a handful of Scottish pieces.

The scholarly journal Early Music is the leading publication for historical music studies and has been since the 1970s. I have single copies of some back issues containing interesting early harp articles, including articles on Italian baroque harp by Tim Hobrough and a very interesting early overview of Renaissance harps by Michael Morrow.

Also new in stock this month is a copy of the rare and much sought after first edition of Donal O'Sullivan's Carolan

How to order

There are two ways to order items from the emporium; I don't mind which you use.
1. select the appropriate postage and click "add to cart". You can add lots of different items if you wish. Then click to go to the checkout and pay online with your credit or debit card. Postage is automatically calculated.

2. Phone me up or send an email (contact details below) and ask me whether what you want is in stock, or can be obtained. This works almost as quickly as using the shopping cart; also it works just as well for secondhand items and even ones I have not yet managed to get in stock. I'll give you a total price to pay (postage charged at cost) and you can post me a cheque (UK pounds sterling, drawn on a UK bank, payable to "Early Gaelic Harp Info"), or send money via PayPal/credit card, or make a bank transfer. Click here for more payment details including bank info and a credit card payment facility.

If there is an item you are looking for but which is not listed here, let me know - I may well be able to find it for you.

Please ask to be put on the mailing list, to be sent details of new additions to the stock.

Returns: If the item is not as described, please return for a full refund including all postage.
