The first tune taught to the harpers was, according to the 18th century tradition bearers, Mailí Bhán (Fair Molly). Our source for these versions is the Bunting manuscripts.

The notation on p.35 of my book is taken from Bunting ms 33(1) p.62 (f31v), which is not yet available online from Queens University Belfast.

The words on p.32-33 of my book are from Bunting MS18 p.92 (f47v), which is not yet available online from Queens University Belfast.
