Eugene O'Curry's lectures were published after his death by W.K. Sullivan in 1873. Volume 3 contains lectures of buildings and furniture, dress and ornament, as well as 'Of Music and Musical Instruments in Ancient Erinn'. The lectures are quirky and sometimes wrong, but present a huge amount of otherwise unavailable information from early medieval Irish manuscripts. The reproduction quality in this large paperback reprint is poor - many pages have grey background or black edges - but this is an essential addition to your library
