Journal of the Cork Historical and Archaeological Society Vol. 102, 1997 Contains the article by Diarmaid Ó Catháin, ‘Revd Charles Bunworth of Buttevant, Patron of Harpers and Poets’. This 10-page article gives a biography of the 18th century Irish harper Bunworth, including a photo of his harp and of his house. After his death his servants notoriously burnt his extensive collection of early Irish harps for firewood; his harp was preserved in his family before eventually making its way to America where it is now kept in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The other articles are on various aspects of southern Irish history and archaeology. 172p, pbk. £33 + £3.00 (UK only - select for overseas postage) £5.50 (Airmail within Europe) £8.50 (Airmail outside Europe)
