Ann Buckley (ed.)
Early Music of Ireland
Early Music Vol 28 No.2, May 2000
This issue of the scholarly journal "Early Music", guest edited by Ann Buckley, contains a number of interesting articles providing some useful background information. As well as an illustrated overview of medieval music and musicians by Ann herself, there are a number of articles on medieval and later church singing, and an interesting articleby the American group Altramar on their reconstructions as recorded on 'Crossroads of the Celts'. There is nothing specifically on Gaelic harps, save passing mentions in some of the articles, but there is much to interest anyone interested in early Irish music.
