Hallaig - The Poetry and Landscape of Sorley Maclean Timothy Neat, 1984; Eagle Eye / Scottish Heritage Collection, 1989 Secondhand video tape, £20 This VHS videotape is a 63 minute film about the poetry of Sorley Maclean, and the landscapes which inspired him. The film centres around Sorley's atmospheric readings of his poetry, mostly in his own English translation, but some read in Gaelic as well. There are really beautiful pictures of the islands and mountains, and some traditional songs. Talking-head commentary is given by poets Ian Crichton Smith, and Seamus Heaney.
